Photovoltaic Container Market Regions, Supply Chain & Growth
Technological shifts are characterized by the integration of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, modular container designs, and smart monitoring systems.
Green Public Procurement is to be understood as a set of policies, actions and practices that leverage acquisitions to address all types of environmental challenges.
Supply chain development is crucial for solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity growth; however, most of its crucial value chain segments are concentrated in specific geographies such as China, Europe and the United States. Hence, from a sustainability perspective, it is critical that these supply chains become more diversified and resilient.
This report presents the results of the 2022 OECD Green Public Procurement (GPP) Survey, to which 38 countries (OECD Member and accession candidate countries) responded. The aim of the survey was to better understand how public procurement, a significant economic lever, is being used to generate environmental benefits.
Monitoring could thus also include the collection and reporting of green procurement statistics. Governments therefore need to find and implement effective and accurate methods to collect and report on the total value of green procurement awarded in a given year and on the environmental impacts that were achieved by those procurements.
