RV Circuit Breakers
Whether you''re replacing a faulty breaker or upgrading your electrical setup, our selection includes a range of amperages and styles to suit various RV makes and models.
RV circuit breakers help keep your electrical system safe and operational. When too much electricity flows through your RV's electrical system, it is the job of the circuit breaker to stop the flow of that electricity. This may seem frustrating when it happens, but it saves you from melted wires, fire damage, and more.
Circuit breakers prevent your RV's electrical system from becoming overloaded and therefore, causing fire and electric shock. In other words, they act as a failsafe: they interrupt the power in case of an electrical surge. This is the main reason why they trip.
Double-pole breakers occupy two slots on a breaker panel and protect two wires (they consist of 2 single-pole breakers with one handle and a shared trip mechanism). They supply 120V/240V to a circuit and have a range from 15-200 amps. They are required for large appliances like clothes dryers and water heaters.
AFCI (arc fault circuit interrupter) circuit breakers protect against unintentional electrical discharge in wiring. Once the breaker senses the electrical fault, it shuts off, protecting you from the potential damage from the electrical arc.
