Energy Vault enters Swiss market with battery storage projects for
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Energy Vault Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:NRGV) has formally entered the Swiss market with two contracts for its B-VAULT battery energy storage
In Kappel, in the canton of Solothurn, one of the largest battery storage systems in Switzerland is currently under construction, with a total capacity of 65 megawatt-hours. The successful delivery of all system components marks a key milestone on the path to commissioning. Primeo Energie will use our storage system to provide energy flexibility.
INTILION managed the entire transport chain from China to Switzerland – including shipping, customs clearance, and interim storage. Instead of relying on a complex road transport solution, INTILION chose an alternative approach: all 16 containers were transported together by inland vessel along the Rhine, from Rotterdam to Birsfelden.
The new large-scale battery for Switzerland in Kappel supports the Energy Strategy 2050 and supports renewable energies.
Philipp Knaup, COO of INTILION AG To optimally support the construction progress, INTILION organized a lithium-capable interim storage facility with the highest safety standards near the project site. This made it possible to adapt deliveries flexibly to the construction phases.
